The title of Pisces refers not only to the fishy subject matter of this painting, but also to my astrological “sign” and how typically I seem to represent the characteristics of a Pisces personality. Part of that personality type is the spontaneous, all-at-once response to and perception of life and the world at large that these fish symbolize. My main focus of this painting however, was not it’s meaning, but my pleasure in finding patterns, symmetry and circular continuity in a composition. This painting is owned by Tom Bays.
